CURRENT SITUATION AND COUNTERMEASURES FOR INFECTIOUS DISEASE MANAGEMENT IN SCHOOLS OF XIXIA DISTRICT OF YINCHUAN

[Objective] To understand the current status of infectious disease prevention and control management in schools Xixia district,so as to strengthen the supervision and management of infectious diseases in schools and provide countermeasures for establishing effective regulatory approach. [Methods] The questionnaires were used for 128 middle schools and childcare agencies in Xixia to investigate the management of communicable diseases. [Results] The rate of principal responsibility in charge of kindergartens and nurseries,and implementation rate of management workers in infectious disease prevention and control were less than those in large secondary school. The rate of management standard of privately-run nurseries showed to be the lowest mainly due to lack of standard record of absenteeism and regular disinfection. The rate of establishing hospitals in primary and secondary schools and implementation of management workers in infectious diseases and outbreak management presented to be the lowest,and there existed dangers in outbreak of infectious disease. The incomplete of management of infectious disease in different schools and disease report and record,and non-implementation of system measures,but the work for checking card of vaccination and immunization showed to be good. The work for infectious disease management in school hospital and health management room showed to be worse. [Conclusion] We should strengthen the rule of law schools,the construction of infectious disease prevention and management,enhance supervision and inspection and guidance to promote establishment of long-term mode of monitoring.
