Spectroscopic investigation of the pyrene molecule adsorbed by bovine serum albumin in aqueous solution

Abstract Absorption spectra, emission spectra and emission decay curves of pyrene were measured in the bovine serum albumin aqueous solution. The results showed that pyrene molecules were adsorbed in hydrophobic parts of albumin as a monomet with pyrene concentrations as high as 0.01 M.
