Research and Design of Millimeter Wave Mixer Based on Hybrid Circuit Model

2021
As a CMOS transceiver front-end which can be integrated on the same chip with the back-end base band signal processing part which occupies the main area of SOC, it can also achieve better performance in millimeter wave band due to the development of technology. Compared with 60 GHz wireless communication system with severe atmospheric attenuation, Q-band transceiver can better adapt to long-distance high-speed wireless communication and provide the last mile access for future high-speed wireless communication. Based on the hybrid circuit model, an improved millimeter wave mixer is designed by CMOS technology. TIA structure is adopted at the local oscillator port to ensure that the performance of the mixer fluctuates within a reasonable range when the local oscillator power changes. At last, when the LOcal oscillator (LO) power is 0dBm, the intermediate frequency (IF) frequency is 2.5GHz, and the lo frequency is 9GHz, the input 1dB compression point (IP1dB) is 0.25dBm, and the conversion gain is 0.13dB the post-simulation results also verify the rationality of the linearization mechanism.
