Reliability Evaluation of Hybrid Wind-photovoltaic-hydro Power Generation System Based on Multiple Operating Scenarios

2021
In recent years, many countries have been striving to replace fossil energy with renewable energy. However, the access of a large amount of renewable energy has brought huge challenges to the operation of the grid. It is an important issue to evaluate the reliability of renewable energy systems connected to the grid. In this paper, sequential Monte Carlo simulation method to evaluate the operational reliability of the hybrid wind-photovoltaic-hydro power generation system based on the time series load model is proposed. In the multi-scenario simulation, Latin Hypercube sampling can be used to sample time series of wind power output, photovoltaic output, hydropower output and load demand scenarios. Then, the reliability evaluation index of hybrid wind-photovoltaic-hydro power generation system is proposed. Finally, the calculation results are shown that different power configuration capacities have significantly various effects on the reliability of power grid operation.
