Semihard magnetic alloy of Fe‐Mn‐Ni system

To ascertain economical new semihard magnetic materials for latching relays or switches in an electronic switching system, alloys consisting of 4⋅16 wt.% / %Mn, 2∠10 wt % Ni and the balance Fe, to which up to 3 % Ti was added, were studied.The magnetic properties of the alloy systems, a new working method to improve them and their structure are described.As a result, new magnets were obtained whose magnetic properties are 40∠283 Oe in coercive force and about 5.7∠15 kG in residual induction.
