EVALUATION TESTS OF THE TELEROBOTIC SYSTEM MT200-TAO IN AREVA- NC/LA HAGUE HOT CELLS

The MT200-TAO system transforms “on demand” a conventional hot-cell, wall-transmission, telescopic master slave manipulator (extension 4 m; capacity 20 kg), into a powerful telerobotic system. This innovative system has been successfully evaluated in a “cold cell” of AREVA/NC/La Hague. Operators report a level of ergonomics and dexterity which sets new standards. A planned active mission in the ACR workshop is briefly described.
