Neurociencia, neuropsicología y psicología clínica: Necesidad de un encuentro.

In the last decade a big expansion of neuropsychology has ocurred. This growth has allowed to implant some epistemological matters with great interest such as the bio-psycho-social model of illness, the clinic specialization, the complexity of brain-mind relationship, neuroimaging techniques’s contribution, the search of a new conceptual framework and the necessity to explain the human behaviour considering how the brain works. In this paper we alluded to the Neuropsychology contribution to mental disease assesment and some of the limitations of Neuropsychology exploration are mentioned. In respect of the contributions from the neuropsychology to the clinic psychology we plan three fundamental ideas: 1) explaining mental diseases on the basis of a disturbance in the brain activity. 2) providing to clinic psychology with the latest knowledge about brain and, 3) helping to explain the psychotherapeutic techniques than we use presently from the perspective of the brain process.
