The significance of prostate cancer and its impact on the world’s population is well recognized. It is currently estimated by the American Cancer Society (ACS) that at least 180,400 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed that in the year 2000 and that approx 31,900 men will die of the disease (1).
