Catalyst activity supported on soda-lime glass

TiO2 film supported on ground glass is prepared by sol-gel method and sol solution preparation,film coating and calcination processes.Through the orthogonal experiment,the effects are investigated of preparing conditions on the photocatalytic degradation of phenol solution such as composition ratio of the sol solution,coating times and calcination temperature.The factor order according to the extent of influence on common soda-lime glass is the dose of HNO3,coating time,calcination temperature,the dose ratio of C2H6O and Ti(C4H9O)4.The optimal preparation conditions based on these experiments are: coating times=4,calcination temperature=450℃,C2H6O∶Ti(C4H9O)4∶ HNO3(1∶4)∶ H2O=400∶40∶1∶4(v/v).Through SEM,white TiO2 film under the optimal preparation conditions can be observed and the crystallite size is about 100 nanometers.
