Effects of glycine on expression of PMNCD11b/CD18 in ANP rats

2005
Objective To study the changes in expression of PMNCD11b/CD18 on circulating leukocytes and changes of serum IL-6 and LPS levels in rats with ANP.Methods The model of ANP was established in 90 rats by retrograde injection of 5% sodium taurocholate into biliopancreatic duct. Then the 90 rats were equally divided into the control group, glycine group and ANP group. The blood samples were collected at different phases to determine the contents of Il-6 and LPS.The features of changes in CD11b/CD18 expression on circulating PMN were assayed in ANP rats by flow cytometry. Results The level of CD11b/CD18 expression and IL-6 and LPS levels were significantly increased in ANP group but markedly decreased in the glycine group(P0.05).Conclusions IL-6,LPS and CD11b/CD18 might be involved in pathogenesis of ANP.There might be relationship between expression of CD11b/CD18 on PMN and many factors including cytokines and pro-inflammation mediators.Glycine can prevent the expression of CD11b/CD18 on PMN and production of IL-6 and LPS.
