생체의료용 Ti-Nb 합금 개발에 관한 연구

2013
This study was purposed to develope a titanium alloy with low elastic modulus to be used as dental implant. The new titanium alloy was prepared as binary alloy by adding niobium (Nb) into the Ti-XNb system alloy. In designing the new titanium alloy, two physical variables bond order (Bo) and d- electron orbit energy level (Md) were varied. Mean bond order (  ) was around 2.8364~2.8742eV, and Mean d-electron orbit energy level ( ) was 2.4572~2.4757eV. The elastic modulus of the developed titanium alloy was 60.93~ 100.57GPa. In the results of X-ray diffraction analysis, s-phase was observed in all the specimens, but α+β phase texture was also observed in Ti-7Nb and Ti-17Nb alloy. According to the results of potentiodynamic polarization experiment, Ti-7Nb alloy showed the highest corrosion potential as -209.0㎷. s-phase and α-phase are observed from Ti-XNb alloys (X=7 and 17) however s-phase is observed from Ti-XNb (X=27, 37, 47 and 57)alloys. TEM analysis identified additional feature for Ti-57Nb alloy was detected in addition to the s-phase.
