Specifically formed silica gels and a method of separating complex mixtures of organic substances

1963
1. A general method was developed for preparing specific formed silica gels by introducing into the prepared gel a forming substance, and it is suitable for introducing substances that are insoluble in aqueous solutions. 2. A general method was developed for isolating individual components from a complex mixture of difficultly separable substances by preparing specific silica gels with the substances isolated successively from the mixture. 3. A method of preparing specific silica gels and a method of using them to separate complex mixtures of alkaloids from the group of substituted harmines were found.
