The electronic endoscope apparatus according to the present invention includes an image pickup unit with respect to the irradiation light for irradiating an object, obtaining an image of the object for each predetermined wavelength band, an exposure period setting circuit for the wave corresponding to each the band setting the exposure period of the image pickup unit, an amplifier circuit, for each band corresponding to an enlarged image signal of the object image picked up using the image pickup unit obtained; and a control circuit for controlling the amplification circuit such that each wave of the exposure period is set by the exposure period corresponding to each band circuit is set at the object image pickup unit obtained by the image pickup band corresponding to the image signal is amplified to a plurality of amplification factor, wherein the amplification factor corresponding to the exposure period corresponding to each band is calculated and set.
