Kilowatt Counter: A Consumer's Guide to Energy Concepts, Quantities, and Uses.

1975
While it is important for society as a whole to become aware that more energy is used than is required to accomplish specific jobs, this data book of energy consumption can influence individual buying habits and responsibility and have immediate impact. As we are more aware of energy consumption, efficiency ratings will become part of standard labeling procedures and standards for building codes and product efficiency will increase. Energy definitions, conversion tables, and energy efficiency of various appliances and products are put in lay language and simple arithmetic. Energy information is provided on home equipment and materials, transportation, and sources of energy. An energy awareness test is included. (DCK)
