Design and Study of Structural Health Monitoring System of Xiabaishi Bridge

A prestressed continuous rigid frame bridge with 145 m +2×260 m +145 m spans,the Xiabaishi Bridge,is selected as the sample of the required engineering background.Aspects of its health monitoring system are described,including the overall monitoring objective,measurement contents,monitoring instrument selection,monitoring points layout,data acquisition and long-distance transmission and safety alarming system and so on.Static and dynamic data acquisition is realized,namely,vibration characters such as acceleration and dynamic displacement and static information such as strain,temperature,displacement of supports and bridge line-type are syncretized and controlled.The star transmission structures syncretizeed in the monitoring system can make sure that each acquisition substation is independent and has strong anti-interference capability.The multi-molds optical fiber net and telephone net are used to carry out unattended long-distance transmission and long-distance supervisory control.The on-line monitoring system of the Xiabaishi Bridge has worked very well since it was opened.It demonstrates normal operation and stable performance and provides accurate and reliable monitoring data.The initial analysis indicates that no abnormality occur with the Xiabaishi Bridge,and the Bridge is safe at present.
