HPLC determination of 6-gingerol in ginger oil

Objective:To establish a determination method of 6-gingerol in ginger oil.Methods:Using HPLC method,the system consisted of Hypersil ODS column (4.6 mm×250 mm,5 μm);mobile phase of aeetonitrile- water(40:60)mixture,with a flow rate of 1.0 mL·min~(-1);detection at 280 nm;column temperature of 25 ℃.Re- suits:Linear range was 1.10-14.30 μg with the r of 0.9999;precision test with a RSD of 2.2%;stability test with a RSD of 1.6%;repeation test with a RSD of 1.1%;the mean recovery was 97.9%,with a RSD of 1.2%.Con- clusion:The method is sensitive,accurate and with good reproducibility;It can be used as the determination of 6 - gingerol in ginger oil.
