Effect of pain nursing professional and technical team on the improvement of pain control quality

Objective To investigate the effect of pain nursing professional and technical team on the improvement of pain control quality. Methods A total of 314 nurses in our hospital were randomly selected by pain nursing professional and technical team for pain knowledge training. The hierarchical pain knowledge training was taken to compared nurses′ professional knowledge, professional skills, pain nursing quality before and after pain knowledge training. Results 64.01% of the nurses thought that pain knowledge training was necessary, and 98.72% nurses agreed with teaching combined with practice in the form of training. After the training, nurses professional knowledge of pain (83.4±3.1), professional skills (85.4±2.7) were better than before (63.8±3.8), (66.2±5.5) and they had statistical difference (t=70.821, 19.200, respectively; P<0.01). Pain nursing quality score increased from (58.4±3.4) to (87.1±2.9), a significant difference was found before and after the training (t=143.608, P<0.01). Conclusions Pain nursing professional and technical team through carrying out a wide range of pain knowledge training can significantly improve the nurses′ pain nursing professional knowledge, professional skills and pain nursing quality, and increase patient′s satisfaction.
