The invention provides a user electric energy meter detection method which is based on a user electric energy meter detection system comprising a signal transmission device and a plurality of signal detection devices. The signal transmission device is connected with a test user side of a current test task. Each tested electric energy meter of the current test task is connected with one signal detection device. The signal transmission device is used for making high-frequency current signals be coupled into a power grid. The user electric energy meter detection method comprises the steps that the high-frequency current signals are extracted by all the signal detection devices in the current test task from power grid signals at one ends of the corresponding tested electric energy meters connected with the signal detection devices; the signal detection devices with the extracted high-frequency current signals calculate signal intensities of the extracted high-frequency current signals respectively so that the signal intensities can be compared, the signal detection device corresponding to the high-frequency current signal with the highest signal intensity is determined, and the test electric energy meter connected with the determined signal detection device is the electric energy meter of a tested user side. Accordingly, the user electric energy meter detection method and system improve convenience and user experience.
