Characteristics Assessment of GNSS Observations on Smart Devices

Smart devices have great application demand in the field of trusted navigation and smart city. The comprehensive characteristic analysis of the GNSS observations of smart devices is helpful to enhance the reliability and accuracy of positioning. This paper makes a comparison between smart devices and geodetic receiver, and analyzes the statistical characteristics of C/N 0 time series and the noise characteristics of observations. In addition, various data processing methods are used to analyze errors characteristics and time correlation. The C/N 0 of smart devices are low and have week correlation with elevation. The noise level of smart devices is about 3m, which is mainly affected by the multipath. Reducing the multipath error will significantly increase the observations accuracy, and make smart devices have more reliable and precise positioning consequently.
