In this paper we present a scientific and technical review of existing methods of non-destructive testing applicable to the solution of a problem of determination of thickness of a protective layer of concrete and an arrangement of reinforcement bars in a ferroconcrete structures. The paper describes the main advantages of each of these methods, the existing shortcomings and unsolved problems today. Based on this analysis presented distinguishing features of each method for a specific task. Based on the results of research as the most optimal method for quality control ferroconcrete structures was selected eddy current nondestructive testing (NDT). Given substantiation for applying the method and development of the device of eddy current testing of ferroconcrete structures. For restore the geometric parameters and relative position of rebars proposed to adapt the method of natural-model tests.
