An Improved MPPT Method in PV Power System

Aiming at the vibrating and misjudging problem of the classic PO method and taking the irregular slop rate as well as uni-modality in the workspace of the PV array into consideration,this paper presents a new variable-step and improved PO method appropriate for MPPT.With the improvement made to the MPPT,it can deal with the nonlinear and time-varying of the PV array effectively to boost the capacity of the system.According to the result of the simulation,this method improves the speed and stability of the system,and obtains a favorable curve via the simulation of the single-phase PV grid system by PSCAD,and boosts the efficiency for solar energy utilization.
