Immunoglobulins in epilepsy

1982
Abstract Serum immunoglobulins and salivary IgA were measured in 5 groups of epileptic patients and in controls in order to explore whether the previously reported alterations of immunoglobulin concentrations in epileptic patients are due to anticonvulsant therapy or to epilepsy itself. Our results support the idea that in some cases epilepsy is primarily associated with alterations in IgA levels in serum and saliva.
