Thermal Desorption Mass-Spectrometric (TDMS) Analysis of the Carbon Dioxide Desorption from the Glass Fiber Surface

1991
The CO2 thermodesorption from quartz fibers (QF), glass fibers (GF) and cristalline quartz surface was studied. The existance of two CO2 chemisorption forms was found. The quantity of CO2 moleculs desorbed from the surface unit of the QF of different diameter was determined. It was supposed that there exists α-β transition in molten quartz cristalline structures.
