Local Practices of Sociability and Solidarity: Contributions to the Challenges of Territorial Development

2006
This article originates from a general interrogation underlining the importance of social dynamics in both the definition and the modalities of territorial development. We use the theoretical approach of social and community economics to apprehend the complexity and the evolution of relationships between agents (close and interdependent practices, informal exchanges, common experiences, structure of social networks, etc.). Using the specific example drawn from Plaine Commune in the Seine-Saint-Denis Department, we furnish an empirical illustration of the contribution of closely interlinked social actions to territorial development.
