Microstrip line impact on microwave chaotic oscillator behaviour

2012
A 2.2 GHz 50 Ω microwave buffered Colpitts oscillator is designed and realized on microstrip hybrid technology. The buffer is optimized in order to match the microwave 50 Ω-12-GHz-oscilloscope without changing significantly the chaotic out-put characteristic. Experimental characterization gives a fundamental frequency of 2.2 GHz. Bifurcation diagrams show the effect of the critical microstrip line parameters on the chaotic oscillator behaviour.
