Recent progress in gene-sensing techniques for rapid detection of foodborne pathogens

2013
Recent years, the problems of food safety caused by foodborne pathogens have attracted a great deal of attention. For the detecting objects are stable and easy to amplify in vitro , gene-sensing techniques have been widely used to specifically, sensitively and rapidly detect foodborne pathogens. This paper summarizes the research advances on rapid detection of foodborne pathogens based on gene-sensing methods. Then, we present our novel results in foodborne pathogens detection using the electrochemiluminescence and microfluidic techniques. Finally, we discuss the future of gene-sensing approaches for rapid detection foodborne pathogens.
