Laws governing the deformaton and failure of steels 15kh2MFA and 15kh5MF under rigid low-cycle loading

1991
Laws governing the cyclic elastoplastic deformation and failure of steels 15Kh2MFA and 15Kh5MF under an asymmetric alternating load are investigated. The effect of the strain amplitude and cycle asymmetry of the deformation on the kinetics of the deformation process is examined. A mutual relation between fatigue strength, strain amplitude, and the work of plastic deformation during the load cycle is established. The effectiveness of different approaches to prediction of the cyclic longevity of materials is analyzed.
