CONVERSION OF X-RAY POWDER PATTERN MEASUREMENTS TO REFINED d-SPACINGS AND 1/ d$sup 2$ COMPUTER PROGRAM
1963
The preliminary calculations for the indexing of x-ray diffraction powder patterns are coded for use on an IBM 7074 computer. The diffraction line position measurements obtained from powder patterns are converted to d-spacings that are corrected for errors due to absorption of x-rays by the specimen. The d- spacings are then refined on ths basis of higher order reflection data and converted to Q ( = 1/d/sup 2/) values. The programs OSAGE and AUGMNT which perform these operations are described; and their FORTRAN listings are given. (auth)
