DYNAMIC NUCLEAR POLARIZATION

1962
Dynamic nuclear polarization (i.e., first-order orientation) is reviewed theoretically, with particular attention to spin I = 1/2 nuclei. Spin hamiltonians, eigenvalue equations, population distributions, and resonance enhancement are considered. Results for H, D, Li/sup 7/, C/sup 13/, F/sup 19/, Na/sup 23/, Al/su p 27/, Si/sup 29/, s/sup 76/, and Sb/sup 122/ are tabulated. (T.F.H.)
