Simulation for Pharmacy

2019
Abstract This chapter discusses simulation-based training in pharmacy education, from the different modalities used to the type of skills typically targeted. Although this teaching method is still emerging in pharmacy programs, many interesting simulation curricula have been developed to teach and assess various clinical skills. A literature review is presented for each simulation modality. This chapter also offers useful tips to adapt simulation to the context of pharmacy by addressing which resources are required to develop successful learning activities. Examples of clinical cases are also presented. Finally, suggestions for future use and research are provided.
