Research on an Optimal Design Method of Anti-Icing and Anti-Galloping Device Based on Loading Principle

Based on loading principle, this paper presents an optimal design method of the device which can improve the anti-icing and anti-galloping ability of transmission lines. Firstly, a lumped parameter system model is adopted, with the total mass of the device, the maximum available arm length and the initial freezing angle as the design variables, and the line-device mass equation as the constraint conditions for the first optimization. Using modal analysis method, the distribution coefficient of the device was taken as the design variable, and the anti-galloping effect of the line-device system was taken as the objective function for the quadratic optimization. Applying the optimized model to actual engineering, the calculation results show that the anti-galloping ability of the line can be improved by nearly 50%.
