ACOMPANHAMENTO DO PROCESSO FORMATIVO NO CICLO DE VIDA VOLTADO PARA ODONTOPEDIATRIA

2018
To present the accompaniment of the formative process of the academic within the area of life cycle focused on Pediatric Dentistry. Method: This is an experience report by students and teachers in the area of Life Cycle in Pediatric Dentistry, regarding teaching-learning in the following strategies: content review and Team-Based-Learning (TBL); in the course of Dentistry of the University Center of Anapolis UniEVANGELICA. These strategies were approached following the proposal of content revision based on students' questioning of students, regarding the content taught in the previous class, orally orally, sometimes through the use of clinical images; and the TBL that was used at the end of the theoretical content block taught in the semester, with individual tests being carried out, and later grouping of the student group for discussion and collective test. Results: The accompaniment of the formative process of the academic passed through the teaching and learning in the face of the sedimentation of knowledge. Both the content review and the TBL redeemed the conduction of this training, which included the teacher in teaching and the student in learning, or vice versa. These teaching-learning strategies contributed to the understanding of collective learning, in which everyone is part of the process and not only teacher-centered teaching as the holder of all knowledge. It is important to emphasize the effectiveness of the training process of the future professional dental surgeon in relation to Pediatric Dentistry, while it involved the planning and replanning of other teaching strategies in this discipline, leading to the renewal of learning within the semester itself. Thus, this proposal reached a critical-reflective view of the content taught and at the same time contributed to the formation of a qualified professional, through the theoretical-practical aspects in the sense of training for autonomy in decision-making. Final considerations: The life cycle in Pediatric Dentistry was based on the appreciation of the follow-up of the training process by the student and the teacher, with repercussions for these two actors involved in learning.
