A spectrometer of coherent anti-Stokes scattering by rotational transitions in hydrogen molecules

1994
This paper describes a spectrometer designed to measure the hydrogen concentration and temperature in a single laser pulse. An optic configuration for measuring the intensities of two rotational H{sub 2} lines in the sample and reference volumes at the same time is proposed. The measurement time is 10 nsec, the pulse repetition rate is 10 Hz, the measured temperature ranges from 300 to 3000{degrees}K, the partial hydrogen concentration from 10{sup {minus}2} to 0.2. The instantaneous temperature and concentration are measured to an accuracy of 10-20%. The instantaneous and averaged temperatures and the concentration of H{sub 2} were measured in a burners flame using a spectrometer.
