About the influence of charge delocalization at the sites on the Na+ motion in oxide glasses

1995
The HAVEN ratio of three Na2O-rich, stoichiometric composed oxide glasses with very distinct network structures has been estimated. The Na+ motion is discussed as a hopping process with a dominant COULOMB interaction between the Na+ ions and the negative charges, fixed on the charged oxo-coordination polyhedrons of the glass networks.
