A pulsed field magnetometer for local magnetization measurements

2002
Summary form only given. Generally hysteresis measurements in pulsed fields are done using pick-up coil systems which are wound around the sample. With such a system the "mean value" of the sample magnetization is determined. Studying large industrial samples makes the measurement of the local magnetization important. Additionally hard magnetic thin films become more important. It is the aim of this work to test systems which allow to measure magnetization with a high degree of coupling. For this purpose two type of arrangements were tested: (i) small planar flat coils and (ii) small Hall probes.
