A thin electric connector and an electronic device containing the same

Provided are a thin electric connector and an electronic device containing the same. The thin electric connector is used for containing a plug and comprises a half-size socket, a cover body, and a fixed holding seat and a reset assembly which are disposed between the half-size socket and the cover body. The half-size socket is equipped with multiple terminals. The cover body is equipped with a body portion, a shielding portion extended outwards from the body portion, and at least one rotating shaft formed on one end of the body portion. At least one rotating shaft is pivoted on an electronic device housing. Inserting space used for containing the plug is formed between the half-size socket and the fixed holding seat. When the cover body is rotated to a closing position along the rotating shaft, the shielding portion is extended to exceed the front rim of the fixed holding seat. When the cover body is rotated to an opening position along the rotating shaft, the shielding portion leaves the front rim of the fixed holding seat and is exposed to the inserting space. The reset assembly provides force for the shielding portion in order to drive the shielding portion to be close to the fixed holding seat. When the plug is inserted between the half-size socket and the fixed holding seat, the reset assembly pushes the shielding portion to lock the plug in order to prevent the plug from moving outwards.
