Monitoring Traveling Ionospheric Disturbances Using GNSS Interferometry with Geostationary Satellites

2018
Geostationary GNSS satellites are a promising tool for the remote sensing of the ionosphere and its features, such as traveling ionospheric disturbances (TIDs). Compass/BeiDou geostationary satellites are of particular interest in this case, providing low data noise level suitable for research purposes. In this work, we present the results on applying GNSS-interferometry approach to Compass/BeiDou geostationary data to estimate the parameters of large scale TIDs.
