Heart Defects with Therapy after the Neonatal Phase

2019
Like the previous one, Chapter 16 describes surgical procedures and postoperative management, predictable complications, and their treatment using selected examples of heart defects with treatment after the neonatal phase. Hypercirculation defects are mentioned as well as tetralogy of Fallot, Ebstein’s anomaly, and valve diseases. Like before, special emphasis is placed on explaining how to identify and treat typical complications alongside a description of the overarching principles of circulatory and ventilatory management.
