Clinical observation of famciclovir combined with UVB phototherapy in the treatment of pityriasis rosea

Objective:To observe the effect of famciclovir combined with UVB phototherapy on the treatment of pityriasis rosea.Methods:140 patients were randomly and equally divided into the treatment group and the control group.Patients in the treatment group received oral famciclovir combined with UVB phototherapy,while patients in the control group received only oral famciclovir treatment.Then the effect and safety of the treatment in both groups were observed.Results:The curative rate in the treatment group was 90.6% with a total effective rate of 97.3%;while the curative rate in the control group was 69.2% with a total effective rate of 76.9%,which was of obvious difference of the effective rate between both groups(P0.05).Conclusion:Famciclovir combined with UVB phototherapy in the treatment of pityriasis rosea is very effective and worthy of clinical applications.
