An Analysis of the Motive Force and Structure of the Economic Transition of Xi'an in the Republic of China

Greatly influenced by external factors such as institutions,economic transference from Japanese invaded areas since establishment of the Republic of China,economy of Xi'an developed quickly and had great effect on Xi'an economic structure.However,over-dependence on external factors resulted in the national defense and military affairs governed,handicraft and consumption industry centered economic structure.The modernization of Xi'an was characterized by intensified institutions in economic development during the transitional period.
