Autophagy is a major catabolic process that is predominantly controlled by amino acids and hormones, and delivers cytoplasmic components to lysosomes or the vacuole for degradation and recycling ([Weidberg et al., 2011a][1]). This process is essential for maintaining cell homeostasis by providing
