La novela neopolicial pasado perfecto resistencia, memoria y desilusión

This thesis proposed to analyse how does Leonardo Padura s Havana Blue represent the collective voice of a nation and a resistence way against the Cuban goverment? Havana Blue is a treasure of memories of the Cuban air with its daily activities and the journey for its streets, in that overflow its popular speech, its customs and pleasures. The work leaves the utopic dream but it shows the Havana City s problems, a jungle city. Between its lines it tells in detail the corruption, oppression, watchfulness, violence, social differences and the goverment control. Moreover, it extends the neopolicial novel characteristics with its characters, style and structure. It explains why does the novel become in historical memory and chronicle due to it makes emphasis in the popular culture and wants a critic and thoughtful Cuban subject of the goverment and as a human being.
