Method for modifying ash after cigarette burning

The invention discloses a method for modifying ash after cigarette burning. The method is characterized by using whisker substances as fillers to be added to the cigarette paper, wherein the whisker substances include one or more of metal oxide whiskers, metal hydroxide whiskers, saline whiskers and other whiskers; the weight percent of the whiskers in the finished cigarette paper is 1-30%; and the average length of the whiskers is not less than 5 microns. The cigarettes produced from the cigarette paper prepared by the method have better ash continuity and stronger ash holding capabilities and are free of wide-range ash dropping.
