This article presents the results of work performed about the 0209 Convention between the Technological University of Pereira and Solomoflex Industries and Manufactures, which aims to propose solutions to improve the production process of front fork Yamaha motorcycle 45D, for which tied a young researcher under the guidance of a teacher of the Technological University of Pereira, and the support of the company. The article describes: the initial problem, the characterization of the current process, developing solutions, the methodology used in the design, the estimated increase in productivity, the calculation of return on investment and making partial result semi- automatic system. For the solution of the problem was made partial use of Lean Manufacturing, passing a flow shop layout consists of (7) workstations, (4) JIG's positioning and (7) operators, flow shop layout to another consisting of (3) workstations, (3) JIG's positioning-assembly, and (5) operators. With current resources are produced (250) front fork (59.5) man-hours, while with the new scheme and associated facilities will produce the same (250) front fork (38.4) man-hours, an increase in productivity result in benefits for th, company and the customer.
