Infection of a Charcot spine. A case report.

Charcot spine is an unusual neuropathic arthropathy that may be found in patients with complete neurologic lesions of the spinal cord. The case presented represents a progressive destructive lesion of a Charcot spine, which, on extensive investigation and subsequent surgical arthrodesis, demonstrated an infectious process. Infection must be consired as a possible etiology in a destructive lesion of a Charcot spine
