Diffraction study of shear transformations in close-packed structures: II. Model of heterophase structures

A simple method for the calculation of the theoretical intensity of scattered radiation by crystals consisting of a mixture of two close-packed phases is proposed. By the example of cobalt alloys, the diffraction patterns conventionally attributed to long-period structures were shown to permit a simpler interpretation in terms of the model under consideration.
