Hot Hadronic Matter with the NJL Model

2002
We give a review of the Nambu‐Jona‐Lasinio (NJL) model applied to systems at finite temperature and density. We show how to calculate certain quantities relevant to the study of hot hadronic matter, such as the quark condensate and hadron masses. We then present the results of some of these calculations, and describe how the NJL model can be used in a dynamical description of the hadronic fireball.
