Clinical observation of retrograde lacrimal intubation guided by endoscope for treatment of chronic dacryocystitis

Objective To compare the clinical effect of surgery treating chronic dacryocystitis of retrograde lacrimal intubation guided by endoscope and endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy. Methods Seventy patients with chronic dacryocystitis were treated for clinical case-control study from January 2012 to December 2014 in Quanzhou First Hospital. Thirty-five cases as observation group were treated retrograde lacrimal intubation guided by endoscope, and 35 patients as control group with endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy, followed-up for 12 months. Then, the curative effect of two groups of intraoperative blood loss, hospitalization time and operation time were compared. Results Observation group of patients reveived treatment for 6 months and 12 months after the efficient compared with the control group, there were no statistically significant difference(P >0.05). Observation group of patients with intraoperative blood loss, hospitalization time and operation time were significantly shorter than or lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05). Conclusions Retrograde lacrimal intubation guided by endoscope effect close to endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy, has little trauma, quick operation, short hospitalization time and it is worthy of further promotion.
