When designing bridges, one of the most challenging and time consuming tasks and the one that separates bridges from almost all other structural design, is the handling of moving traffic loads. The article discusses methods of simulating traffic flows, and provides examples of visualization of worst-case traffic load position used in bridge analysis and design software, Brigade.
