Magnetoreflectance and magnetization of Cu2Zn1-xMnxGeS4.

1992
We have measured the magnetoreflectance of orthorhombic Cu 2 Zn 1-x Mn x GeS 4 with x=0.83, 0.92, and 1.00 at 1.3 in applied dc magnetic fields B up to 15 T with B applied parallel to crystallographic directions a, b, and c. Exciton splittings as large as ∼170 and ∼230 mev were observed for light polarization vector E a and E c, respectively. With increasing magnetic field, the average energy of the E a exciton components decreased and that of the E c components increased
